Nationwide TCPA Class Certified

A Nevada federal court granted class certification on January 10th to customers who received automated text message advertisements after buying tickets from a Las Vegas-based production company.  The certified class includes all past, present and future customers who received promotional texts from the show producer, allegedly in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.  It has been alleged that David Saxe and V Theater took cellular phone numbers provided when purchasing tickets to shows and then handed them over to Twilio Inc. to send hundreds of thousands of unsolicited texts promoting the shows.
